Sago or Sabudana or Tapioca Khichdi is one such tasty preparation that makes for satiating delight. 2 cup sago
4 tablespoon coconut
2-3 tablespoon oil
1 sprig curry leaves
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
Salt as required
2 medium potatoes
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/2 cup roasted peanuts
Chopped coriander leaves
6 cups water
Steps to Make Sago Khichdi
Wash the sabudana in running water and soak in 6 cups of water for two to three hours. Make sure that the soaked sabudana turns moist and soft. If not, then, soak it for another few hours, or else the sabudana will remain uncooked in the khichdi.
Peel the potatoes and cut them into cubes in another bowl.
Place a deep bottomed pan on medium flame and heat oil. Add curry leaves in it along with some cumin seeds and chopped green chilies. Saute for a few seconds and then add potato cubes, salt in the pan. Then cook till the potatoes turn soft on medium to low flame.
Once the potato is soft enough, add soaked sabudana or sago along with grated coconut and roasted peanuts.
Mix all the ingredients well and sauté for 4-5 minutes.
Turn off the flame. Add lime juice and coriander leaves, and serve hot!
