Make wholesome snacking easier with these turmeric NO BAKE energy bites! These healthy, no bake snacks are loaded with healthy fat, antioxidants and protein. They’re perfect for a quick snack.
I often catch myself snacking. But, we need to think about snacking like we think about our healthy meals. Luckily, this turmeric no bake energy bites are loaded with wholesome fuel! And, you only need a few ingredients to make them.
It is extremely easy to prepare and only minimum cooking is required. This easy recipe is an amazing healthy option when you are craving to binge in unhealthy food.
1½ cups shredded coconut
1 cup almonds (overnight soaked and peeled)
3-4 Tbsp maple syrup
1 Tbsp turmeric powder
1 tsp lemon zest
1 tsp cinnamon powder
Add coconut shreds to a food processor and blend.
Add the remaining ingredients and blend.
To test if the mixture is firm enough to make the balls, break off some in your hand and squeeze together. If it sticks together, it is ready. If it is crumbly, you need a little bit of hot water.
Now you can form small balls out of the mixture. Press the mixture into balls with hands. I used a 2-teaspoon cookie scoop to portion my snack bites!
Keep in an airtight container in your fridge or freezer.
