Ingredients for kadha
Water: 2 cups
Ginger: 1 inch
Black Pepper: 5-6
Holy Basil (Tulsi): 5-6 leaves
2 Bay leaves
Honey: 1/2tsp or to taste
Cinnamon stick (1 inch): 2
1 tbsp honey
Steps to make kadha
Add hot water in a pan.
Crush ginger, cloves, black peppercorns, basil leaves and cinnamon in a mortar and pestle.
Add all the crushed ingredients along with basil leaves and bay leaf to the pan.
Cook on medium heat for about 30 minutes or till the decoction is reduced to half.
Strain the mixture in small individual glasses and drizzle few drops of honey before drinking.
