Oats Phirni is an easy to make and tasty dessert recipe that is very low in calories. This requires very few ingredients and can be made in minutes. Ingredients for Oats Phirni Recipe
½ cup Rolled oats
4 tbsp Sugar
3 cups Milk
7 -8 Almonds (blanched and slivered)
7 – 8 Pistachios (blanched and slivered)
Cardamom powder a pinch
Bring milk to the boil in a medium sized pot.
Meanwhile, grind the rolled oats to a fine powder and set aside.
Once the milk starts boiling, add the powdered oats and keep stirring constantly to avoid any lumps.
Once the oats are cooked and the mixture is slightly thick, add sugar and stir till it is completely dissolved.
Mix the saffron in warm water and add to the oats mixture. Also add the cardamom powder and half of the almonds and pistachios slivers and remove from the heat.
Transfer to the individual serving bowls. Garnish with the remaining almonds and pistachios slivers and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
Then Serve chilled and enjoy!
