Paratha is an Indian flat bread that is stuffed with a savory filling. This Glutenfree Buckwheat Paratha (Flat bread) Recipe is crispy on the outside and filled with potatoes, and spices bursting with flavor. It makes for a great snack or a quick lunch on the go. 1/2 cup buckwheat flour
1/2 cup chickpea flour
2 Tsp oil
2 boiled potatoes, grated
Salt to taste
Black pepper and chili flakes to taste
Fresh coriander, chopped
1 tsp roasted cumin powder
1 tsp carom seeds/ajwain
Warm Water- 1/2 cup, use 1/2 Tbsp at a time to knead
Steps to Make Glutenfree Buckwheat Paratha Recipe
Mix the two types of flour and the potatoes, coriander leaves, oil and all the spices and knead with the water into a soft pliable dough.
Cover the dough and leave to rest for 30 minutes and proceed to make the paranthas.
Divide the dough into equal balls.
Roll one dough ball into a round circle of 5-6 inches using rolling pin.
Meanwhile heat a tawa /skillet on medium-high heat. Once the tawa is hot enough, place the rolled paratha onto the tawa.
Let it cook from one side for few seconds. Flip over and now apply oil generously on the cooked side. Flip again and apply oil on the other side of the paratha as well.
Press the paratha with a spatula till it is well cooked from both sides.
Repeat the same steps with the remaining dough balls.
