Spiced Milk Tea, also known as masala chai, is a flavoured tea beverage made by brewing black tea with a mixture of aromatic spices and herbs. Originating in the Indian subcontinent, the beverage has gained worldwide popularity, becoming a feature in many coffee and tea houses.
It is one of the favourite beverages among Indians, especially during the monsoon and cold winters. It is believed that, it keeps the body warm and breaks up the blocked sinus.

Ingredients for Spiced milk tea
2 tsp black tea
2 cardamoms, crushed
½ tsp Cinnamon powder
4 – Whole black pepper
1 inch ginger, grated and crushed
1 cup milk
Half cup water
2 tsp sugar
Firstly, in a saucepan, take half cup of water and add cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, black pepper and boil for 2-3 min
Furthermore, bring it to boil and lower the flame. Simmer it for 1-2 minutes until you get the nice aroma.
Then, add tea leaves and simmer for 3-4 minutes.
Now add milk, sugar.
Bring it to boil and brew for 2 minutes.
Furthermore, switch of the flame and filter out the tea powder and spices with a fine mesh sieve.
