1 cup All Purpose Flour (Maida)
Cooking oil, to deep fry
2 tablespoon yoghurt
Chopped nuts and Pistachios, to garnish
1 tablespoon All Purpose Flour (Maida)
1 teaspoon Cinnamon Powder
For Sugar Syrup
300 grams Sugar
1 cup Water
Few Saffron strands
1 tsp Rose water
How to make Apple Jalebi Recipe
To prepare this delicious recipe, take a large bowl and add all purpose flour, yogurt and add some water and mix well to make a thick batter. Then, allow it to ferment overnight or for 6-7 hours
Make sugar syrup by adding sugar, water, saffron, rose water and green cardamom powder in a saucepan. Saffron gives it a delicious flavour and a nice colour to the sugar syrup.
Put a deep-bottomed pan on medium flame and add water in it, which is about 2 cups. Bring it to a boil and add the sugar in it. Make it little thick for about 2 strings consistency.
Take a plate and add 1 tablespoon all purpose flour, 1 tablespoon cinnamon powder and mix well.
Now, wash the apples in running water properly and cut it into thin round slices, scoop out the seeds and make a hole in the centre using a cutter. Coat the apple slices in the flour and cinnamon powder.
Then put a pan on medium flame and heat ghee or oil in it. Dip the apple slices in the fermented batter and carefully place in hot ghee or ghee. Deep fry in the hot oil or ghee over a low flame till they are light golden. Fry the dipped apple slices and repeat the procedure until the batter and apple slices are finished.
Once the apple slices are crisp, remove them and put in the saffron and sugar syrup. Let it coat completely but do not over soak, else the jalebis will get soggy. Roughly chop the pistachios and garnish these apple jalebis with it. Serve hot!
