Sago or tapioca cutlets are delicious as well as crispy delicacy, which can be prepared without putting in much effort. This deep-fried Sago or tapioca cutlets make for a perfect tea-time delight. Made with soaked sago and mashed potatoes, this delicacy is mashed along with green chillies for making it bit spicy and peanuts add a nice crunch to this scrumptious snack recipe. 1½ cup Sago or Tapioca
5 medium-sized Potatoes
1 cup peanuts (roasted and crushed)
2 green chillies, chopped
1small onion, finely chopped
2 tsp coriander leaves, chopped
1 tsp Red chilli powder
½ tsp roasted cumin seeds powder
Salt to taste
oil for deep frying
Steps to make sago or tapioca cutlets
Wash sago or tapioca pearls properly and soak for 6-8 hours
Drain them completely and make sure they are soaked well and soft.
Boil potatoes till they are cooked and make sure that they are not mushy or soggy, otherwise, the cutlets may break.
Mix together sago, boiled potatoes, peanuts, green chillies, onion, cumin powder, coriander leaves, red chilli powder, and salt and knead well for a minute. If sticky, brush your fingers with oil slightly.
Take some portion of this mixture and make flattened round cutlets.
Heat oil in a pan and fry the cutlets till they are golden brown and crisp and drain them on tissues.
