Beetroot Halwa is a healthy and delicious dessert recipe prepared from nutrition rich beetroot. Beetroot is low in calories and a great source of nutrients, including fiber, folate and vitamin C. Beets also contain nitrates and pigments that may help lower blood pressure and improve athletic performance. Lastly, beets are delicious and versatile, fitting well into a healthy and balanced diet.
Preparing this delicious dessert at home in traditional way is very simple and requires just three ingredients – beetroot, milk and sugar. However, this Beetroot halwa recipe is tastier and aromatic for cardamom, ghee and roasted cashews and easier to prepare, has a rich and creamy texture and has mouthwatering taste.
For making it more healthy, you can use jaggery instead of refined sugar. I have used sugar in this recipe. (Also read –> Jaggery : The Best Sugar Alternative)
