Watermelon Rose Cooler is a very simple and one of the perfect summer drink that need just four ingredients – watermelon, basil seeds or sabja seeds, rose syrup and rose water.
Watermelon is a delicious and refreshing fruit that is good for you. Watermelon has high water content. This makes it hydrating and helps you feel full. Watermelon is a low-calorie fruit high in some nutrients, especially carotenoids, vitamin C and lycopene. Several nutrients in watermelon are good for your hair and skin. Rosewater is a liquid made from water and rose petals. It is used as a perfume due to its sweet scent, but it has medicinal and culinary values, as well. Ingredients For Watermelon Rose Cooler
4 cups chopped watermelon, chopped
1 tsp sabja seeds/ basil seeds (soaked)
4 tbsp rose syrup
1 to 2 tsp rose water (optional)
Soak 1 tsp basil seeds or sabja in 1/2 cup water for 30 minutes. Strain the seeds and keep it aside.
Blend the watermelon cubes well with some cold water until smooth.
Using a strainer, strain the juice to remove the pulp. (If you want to keep the pulp, then there is no need to strain it.)
Add rose syrup, rose water and stir well. Check for taste and add more rose syrup if required.
Pour the juice to serving glasses along with ice cubes
Top with some basil seeds and garnish with chopped mint leaves.
Serve chilled immediately and enjoy the drink.
