The high carbohydrate content, coupled with a variety of essential nutrients, make rice one of the most nutritional foods in the world. However, it is not a good idea to consume rice just at any time and all the time.
As per studies, lunch time is the best time to have rice. Because, during daytime, our body is most active and the metabolism is faster and our body will be able to digest all the heavy healthy foods and not store it as fat.
Eating rice at dinner is not advisable, since you will be sleeping and there will be no exercise to burn off all the calories you consume. This will slows down your metabolic rate, which in turn lead to weight gain.

Brown rice is better for you than white rice. Brown rice scores better when it comes to nutritional value. Brown rice is a whole grain that contains the bran and germ. These provide fiber, several vitamins and minerals.
